In John 13, Jesus knelt down before the disciples as a servant and washed their feet. They did not know what He was doing - but He washed their feet because He knew who they were created to be. He was demonstrating to them the love of the Father for them, and the love that He would impart to them as He hung on the cross. We are called to be known for this love.
