As a good Shepherd, Jesus prepared the disciples for the persecution to come. Persecution is never personal - it comes because people do not know Jesus and the Father. For us as believers - just as Jesus was sustained through His persecution by the love of the Father - so we too can bear persecution because we know Him. Through it all we are called to demonstrate His great love for humanity. He is worthy.
